In 2013, me and my husband, we bought a house that was in really rough shape, but we saw great potential beyond the walls. The house was detached, with 3 bedrooms, 1 full and 1 half washrooms, unfinished basement and garage in a family neighborhood. A lot of work and $30,000 of capital were put into the renovation. When the work was done, the house was generating $1,100/monthly income. After a year and a half, the house was sold within 2 days and $125,000 in profit +$13,000 of rental income.
